Dr. Crosetto graduated in medicine at the University of Pavia, Italy (2003) and specialized in medical oncology at the University of Turin, Italy (2007). After obtaining his PhD from the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany (2011), he was a postdoc in the van Oudenaarden lab at MIT in Boston, US (2011-2013) and later at the Hubrecht Institute in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Since 2015, he is a Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor at the Science for Life Laboratory and Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden.

His primary research interest is in understanding how genomic alterations form and how they disrupt the three-dimensional organization of the genome, ultimately contributing to the onset or progression of cancer.

Towards this aim, his lab develops and applies cutting-edge microscopy methods, next-generation sequencing techniques, and computational approaches, to dissect various aspects of genome architecture and fragility in cancer cells.
